Out where the address runs out.

Coke County, south of Bronte. The card turns a ranch road into something dispatch can find: 4.2 miles west of US 277 at mile marker 365.7.

  • On a county road, the miles to the highway and that highway's mile marker
  • Owner names printed across the land, from public county records
  • Routes that keep working with no service, onto ranch and lease roads
  • Every engine, brush truck and medic unit on one map while they're sharing

MM 2Gates and pins

The locked gate, and who has the key.

Engine 1 called the foreman at 2:05. Brush 2 was through by 2:30. Medic 3 left it open for the crew. All on one pin.

  • Pin the gate, the water tank, the staging area
  • Each pin keeps a file: a contact at the top, then dated entries with photos
  • Shared with your group, every unit adds to the same file, signed with its name
  • Entries can't be edited, only deleted

Pin files are for places. Keep patient and incident details out of them.

MM ?Questions

Straight answers.

More on the support page, or email support@milemarkertx.com.

Does it work out of service?

Yes, in the regions you download: mile marker readings, 911 addresses, landowners, the offline map and offline routes all work with no signal. Satellite view, Apple Maps directions and group updates need signal.

Is this a dispatch or CAD system?

No. Mile Marker TX doesn't dispatch, doesn't call 911 and doesn't replace your CAD, your radio or your department's maps. It's a location tool for the crew in the truck.

Can we put patient information in pin files?

No. Pin files are for places: gates, water sources, crossings, staging areas. Keep patient and incident details out of them, and follow your department's policy.

Who can see our units?

Only phones that enter the same share code, and only while each person has Share my location on. Updates need signal and can lag, and positions older than 15 minutes are hidden. Don't use it as your only source of where units are.

Does it cover the whole state?

All 254 Texas counties, in 24 regions. You pick and download the regions you work in. Large metro regions take a minute or two to open the first time.

What will it cost?

Mile Marker TX will be free to download. Accounts and paid features are planned for later.
